Ian Pringle

Ian is a highly skilled applied theatre practitioner and facilitator.

Following an acting career, he has for the last 10 years worked with diverse groups of adults and young people in settings including:

  • Youth offending teams
  • Prisons
  • Schools
  • Businesses
  • Hospitals

Creative work

Ian's background in applied theatre includes prison and probation tackling offending behaviour with young and adult offenders.

He provided specialist drama and theatre based facilitation on the National Offender Management Service's Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme and Community Sex Offender Treatment Programme.

Ian has also worked with looked after children, disadvantaged young people, learning disabled groups and mental health patients, as well as devised theatre projects, creating performances from the experience of the participants.

Facilitation and training

Ian is an extremely experienced group worker and facilitator

He has trained across a wide variety of professional groups, delivering theatre-based and experiential events with schools, business and public organisations, as well as working with arts practitioners to explore specific performance themes.

He trains on 'difficult conversations' in organisations, and is a skilled role-player/facilitator in ignition's Life Scenario bespoke training team.
